Doug,

As always great post. I agree the Twitter is a lot more than marketing platform and invaluable communication tool. I know I use it as such quite extensively!

The 140 character limit for Twitter posts can be very limiting sometime. But A way around it is to invite your Twitter follows to you blog for more information. No one should give up on their blog in favor of Twitter. Both are essential tools at this time. TweetDeck is a tool that all Twitters should be using. Thanks for the information that you posted here.

I agree that using twitter is a great way to drive additional traffic to your regular blog. I have been using it for this based off advice from you and it is definitely paying off.

Can't wait for the Advanced Twitter Marketing package to be released!

It is amazing how the two of them, Twitter and blogs, work so well together. I think it helps that you cleared up how and when each should be used. It should help a lot of people.

You mentioned targeting who you follow so you get connected to your target market for your blogs. Do you recommend setting up multiple twitter accounts for different niches? I have a blog on traveling: http://travelingmiller.com and I also have sites for health and diet products. Should I set up at least 2 twitter accounts?

Yes - I recommend one profile/account for each niche since each is of interest to a different crowd, for the most part. Just log out of one and into the next in TweetDeck to handle each, and keep your sessions to 5-10 mins per account to keep them from chewing through your day.

To your success...

Doug.

I think one of the best uses of twitter is to drive people to your blog postings. Looking forward to the release of your new Advanced twitter marketing system.

I agree the two together are much more powerful than either by themselves. Would not use just twitter and at this point would not think of starting a niche blog without adding twitter with it either.

No doubt that blogs are important. The Twitter micro-blog is an interesting extension of the blog term.

It is very important to have blogs like this one to explain how to use the micro-blog from Twitter effectively.

Thanks for this great resource!
Fred
