List building is perhaps the most important aspect of Internet marketing – after all, how often have you heard that the ‘money is in the list’? Every morning, like clockwork, I send out our e-zine and by the end of the day have banked another few hundred dollars on average. So it’s safe to say that without our optin lists it would take a lot more effort to stay in the 6-7 figure a year range.

Another important part of Internet marketing is the networking we do with other marketers, usually resulting in lasting friendships. One such friend is Socrates Socratous, the kid from a tiny village in Cypress who is now the rich young Californian dude – so rich he’s taking a TWO-MONTH VACATION back home in Cypress this summer – not too shabby, eh? I didn’t really know Socrates til I was asked to be a speaker at his Internet Marketing Seminar in Sandusky Ohio in 2007, but when I met him he was charming, intelligent, polite – and a great guy all-round. So we’ve kept in touch…

But wouldn’t you know it, he still keeps secrets – even from me! It was just this week I found out he’s been hiding a major new list-building secret from me – and it turns out it’s one I’ve never even HEARD of anyone using before! He’s cracked the code and found a way to get more than 3,000 new signups from each little set-and-forget foray he makes into list building – and his list is now over 200,000 strong! In Internet marketing circles, that’s huge – probably one of the top 50 or 100 lists in the WORLD for our industry!
