Killer Web Copy
Let’s not beat areound the bush today – you’re not in
the biz to fail, you’re not in the biz to do so-so, and
you’re not in the biz just for fun, regardless of whether
you make anything at it or not. Â Am I right so far?
We all know the way to make it in the biz is to help
others; being instrumental in them achieving their quest
brings the returns we all want to see. And the greater
number of people we help with our products, programs,
advice and/or help, the greater those returns are.
So you’ve done your research, created a program, written
an e-book, put up one or a collection of good resell rights
products or set up your coaching program – now what? The
goal is to help as many people as you can with it, right?
And you’re doing all you can to get more visitors to your
site, but the numbers still aren’t where you want them to
be. Still bang on, aren’t I?
The info being passed out online seems to go in waves,
have you noticed that? Lately it’s blogging, social
networking and, of course, building your lists. The first
two because they’re new, trendy and powerful, the latter
because it will ALWAYS be the single most important aspect
of the biz. But none of that changes the reality we’re
discussing – 99% or more of the people visiting your site
are leaving without surrendering their optin or grabbing
their downloads – and that’s the crux of it right there.
How do you get the people already coming to your site
to download your program or products, or become part of
your coaching program? How do you get more of them to
request your e-zine? How do you stop wasting that 99% of
your efforts to get them there in the first place?
Obviously, the answer is you need better copy on your
site – the salespage, the squeeze page, everywhere. You
need a great salespage for your own products, and if you
really want to do well with resell products you have to
alter and improve on the salespages that come with them,
because you already know how you’re doing just throwing
up the same generic salespage every other reseller is
using, right? What you need is:
Sure, it’s easy for me to say that – but then I worte
ad copy for print, radio & TV for years, and have written
over 750 e-zine issues and blog posts in the last few
years. Hopefully after all that I’ve sort of got the hang
of this copy thing…
But unless you want to put in
those same years in the trenches, a few good shortcuts
are in order. Like reading and using the info in the 3
e-books in the KIller Web Copy series:
1) Killer Web Copy Exposed!
2) How to Write a Highly-Converting Web Copy!
3) Maximizing Your Web Copy Conversion Rates!
Not hard to see how much these can help you and your
sites, is it? So for a great example of the principles
you’re about to learn, take a look at the salespage for
the series:
That’s the kind of copy you want to be writing, and the
very reason you’re downloading this great series today,
while you can get it for so little. Enjoy reading them!

PS – Here’s a fun exercise to help you get started using
these new copy tactics: When your download finishes, print
out the included salespage, and note changes you’ll make
to it as you read the e-books. Once you’ve read all 3, you
will already be able to customize the resell page and put
it online – pretty cool to get a tool that helps you that
fast, isn’t it? Go ahead and download it now, then print
out the salespage and you’re on your way!
