We’re back from JVAlert in Philadelphia, but I wish we’d
had a few more days there - Ken McArthur always goes all
out to make sure the JVAlert Live events are excellent, but
this time he really outdid himself… This was hands-down
the best event we’ve ever attended!

First we were able to catch up with old friends, people
who really mean a lot to us, like Bill and Gina Gaudio
Graves, Nancy & Willie Crawford, Jane Marks & Phil Basten,
Ross Goldberg, Jeff Dedrick, Frank Sousa, Mike Steup,
Mike Paetzold, Eugene Cheung, Charles Burleigh, Brian
Edmundson, John ‘Mr Emotion’ Cussons, Mike ‘Applicititus’
Spindelman and of course, Ken McArthur himself…

Next, it’s a chance to meet people we’re already friends
with online but have never met in person before, like Jeff
Levesque, Dave Lovelace and Odinn Sorensen.

And we’ll always treasure new friends we made there,
like Gina & Bishop Anders, Warren Whitlock, Duane Ford,
Deremiah, Roosevelt Simmons, Chris Derenberger, Michael
Savoie, Mary Grace, Jason Fladlien, Bob ‘the Teacher’
Jenkins and Edward Hadome, who came all the way from
Scotland for the event…

And a big HELLO to 3 special ladies who normally stay
behind the scenes, making IMers look great - Stacy Makdad,
Kelly Jones and CeeCee Philipps. You ladies rock, and Teri
and I hope you’ll stay in touch!

The point is, these events are about the PEOPLE you
meet - new lifelong friends, new strategic partnerships,
etc. With your first event, the sessions are 40% and the
networking is 60% in terms of importance. With each
successive event you attend, the importance of the
sessions drops by 5% and the networking, the PEOPLE, go
up by 5% until, like us, you go to the live events just
for the people - your old friends, your new friends,
and the chance to reconnect with your community in this,
the greatest biz in the world!
