How To Succeed Online - Part Five

And speaking of blogs, that’s todays topic for driving
more targeted traffic to your sites and affiliate links.
Blogs are amazingly powerful tools in this new Web 2.0
world - more so even for driving in the browsing public
than as their own entity… Why so popular?

Take a look at http://www.Top-Traffic-Tips.com - that
blog didn’t exist a couple of days ago… Yet there it is, 5 new
articles on it already, and you can find it at Technorati,
StumbleUpon and a bunch of other social bookmarking sites
already - oh, and I’ve plugged it at Twitter too, of course.

So that’s one big plus right there - a blog is fast and
easy to set up and populate. If you’re using the spot we
recommend for your sites, Hosting4Marketers.com,
you can set up a blog in less than 5 minutes - the proof
is in this video. (remember yesterdays tip about videos?)

Oops - and that’s another great thing about blogs - you
can embed videos right in them - yours or any from the
sites like YouTube, Google Video, MetaCafe, etc. Why not
use other people’s videos to bring visitors to your blog,
and ultimately to your squeeze page, web site or affiliate
links?

Another important reason for using blogs is they get
spidered fast - especially if you ‘ping’ Technorati &
Pingoat after each post - and when the engines find your
blog, they find the links to your sites too, and add them
to their list of URLs to spider! Viola - traffic from
your blog AND from the engines in very short order - not
too shabby, eh?

Oh - when you’re done commenting here
head over to http://www.Top-Traffic-Tips.com, find the
post you like best and add a comment there too - between
the two sites, you can bet our efforts will get your
link, and therefore your site, into the engines really
quickly - usually within the week!

Be nice, though - all of our blogs use comment
moderation, so no comments show up til we approve them.
Which we won’t if the comment isn’t appropriate, of
course. Needless to say, if you want our help to
get into the engines, or just want more one-way links
to your sites or blogs, you have to be polite, ok?

P.S. - After you submit your comments, don’t forget to
favorite the pages at StumbleUpon, Digg & Technorati,
maybe even mention them in your blog & on Twitter -
after all, you want as many people seeing your most
insightful comments and links to your site, right?

Helping you succeed… DC.

Blogs are great, google loves them and they can be up in about an hour initially if you plan your content. Content is King and new content every few days will keep your blog fresh. AS far as Web 2.0 goes there are literally thousands you can post to. Twitter, Propeller,Stumble and Digg seem to get googles attention the quickest. The best blog site in my opinion is weebly as they have no restrictions like wordpress. Also post articles to any of the article sites with your URL. A URL is important and a .com, .net, or .anything is cheap.
