There are so many ways to build traffic, and backlinks I sometimes think that’s part of the problem. Can’t do them all from scratch. But can start with two or three. Learn the ropes and then expand from there.

SEO is great and I use it a lot but all of these added traffic generation techniques can add lots of targeted visitors. Some are better for certain areas than others but you only find that by testing them.

Great list of traffic tips Doug!
There is something for everyone in this list. While not everyone may be comfortable at doing all of these, you have listed so many options that it should not be difficult for anyone to start generating traffic to their sites.
All someone needs to do is to pick one or two to start off with and get good at those, then branch out to other methods from this list and pretty soon you should have quite a bit of traffic visiting your site.

That is a great list of free ways to get targeted traffic. When I first started my online venture I was learning as much as I could but was also very impatient. I would jump from one tactic to another without fully implementing any of them. I’m only using 4 or 5 on your list and only a couple in a consistent manner. As you say it does take effort and time – there’s no magic bullet. I’ll concentrate on learning all these tactics and come up with a plan to implement them. It may take time but in the long run, well worth it.

Good post Doug. Mastering 15 things is going to take a little time and one needs to stay focus at the same time. I am using blogging on a regular basis but have branched out into some of the others. Have done some article marketing also. Thanks for this list of methods to get targeted traffic. That is the best kind to have. If someone comes knowing what you are doing, they are more likely to listen to what you are saying and maybe even buy from you.
